The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials on Wednesday shut down Bademiya, a popular South Mumbai eatery, after cockroaches and rats were found in the kitchen during raids.
A raid was carried out at the eatery by FDA officials after they received several hygiene-related complaints.
According to Media, when the FDA officials looked deep into the papers of the eater, they found that it did not have licence under the the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India. The restaurant is 76 years old.
The kebab shop was was operating two branches, one in South Mumbai and the other in Bandra, despite having no papers.
